On March 19, 2026, I viewed a documentary on Prime Video with the posted title by Angharad Yeo.  The documentary explored the development and implementation of AI (Artificial Intelligence).  In the documentary LLMs (Large Language Models) were used to write a rap, comedy script, paint pictures and produce photographs in competition with creative professionals.

There was a clear gap in AI ability when it came to writing a rap and comedy script.  The biggest surprise I experienced was my inability to distinguish between AI paintings and photographs versus the same works done by humans.  

The question I was left with goes as follows:  Should we compete with AI or use it as a tool?  Please comment and explain the reason behind your answer.

I'll go first.  I think we should use AI as a tool for creative enhancement.  I see it as my own personal assistant aiding me and pushing me to become better at my craft through streamlining my creative processes.
